# Currency, GST and tax invoices

> Paying in INR or USD and getting a GST-compliant invoice.

## Currency

HostCloud bills in **Indian Rupees (INR)** and **US Dollars (USD)**. You choose your currency when you place your first order. After that, your account currency is fixed so that all your invoices stay consistent.

> [!WARNING]
>
> To change your account currency, all invoices must be paid and no transactions can be pending. [Open a billing ticket](/support/open-a-ticket) and we'll help.

## GST for customers in India

GST is added to invoices for customers in India at 18%:

| Your billing address | GST charged |
| - | - |
| Maharashtra | CGST + SGST (central and state GST) |
| Any other state | IGST (integrated GST) |

### Add your GSTIN

To get a GST invoice in your business name, add your GSTIN before the invoice is generated:

**1. Open account details**

Open the account menu (your name, top-right) and choose **Account Details**.

**2. Enter your business details**

Enter your **Company Name** and registered address exactly as they appear on your GST registration. Enter your GSTIN in the **Tax ID** field in the Billing Address section.

**3. Save**

Click **Save Changes**. New invoices will carry these details.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Invoices already issued can't usually be edited. If you need a correction, contact billing by the 10th of the following month, before we file our GST return.

## Customers outside India

Customers outside India are billed in **US Dollars (USD)** with no GST. This is because we supply the service as an export of services under a Letter of Undertaking (LUT), a GST filing that lets us bill exports without tax.
